• Use Grapefruit and Salt for the Bathtub
Take a grapefruit, slice it in half, pour salt on the sliced part and start scrubbing the tub. Things such as soap scum will fall off immediately, the hard stains will be swept by the abrasive salt, and the entire tub will be disinfected because of the acidic properties of the fruit. • Use Baby Oil for a Shining Effect
It is actually a pretty simple job to get the shine in the bathroom. Get a bottle of baby oil, pour some on a sponge or a cloth and wipe away over anything in the bathroom to see the immediate effect. It is a perfect tool to impress guests with.
• Use Black Tea for the Mirror
Did you know that tea had a cleaning effect as well? Well, another way to get some home cleaning done is to use black tea for windows or mirrors. The small amounts of tannic acids which the black tea bags contain will help fight off a lot of grease, grime, and dirt.
• Use Lemons to Clean Faucets
A great way to get both the faucets in the bathroom clean and the place smelling very fresh is to use a slice of lemon. Just like the grapefruit bit, simply slice a lemon in half and rub it all over the faucet. The citric acid will take care of the dirt and the bacteria and then all that is left for you to do is enjoy the fresh lemony smell that the bathroom will have.
• Use Vinegar AND Baking Soda for the Drains
You know how everyone is telling you never to mix vinegar and baking soda? Well, when you are dealing with clogged drains, forget that rule entirely. Here is what you need: a can of boiling water, half a cup of vinegar and half a cup of baking soda. Pour the soda down the drain, then pour the vinegar, and after 20 minutes pour the boiling water as well. And the drains are cleansed and well maintained!
